ROHNERT PARK (CBS SF) — A 35-year-old Rohnert Park man was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of possessing a stolen gun and keeping firearms where children could access them, after his wife texted a friend for help during a domestic dispute, police said.
Police were called about 11:30 p.m. by someone who said her friend had texted asking for help calling police, and that the husband had a gun and was out of control.

Officers responded to the home in the 1400 Block of Southwest Boulevard and found the woman and two children ages 10 and 3, at the home.
Police were told the couple had argued in front of the children and officers learned the suspect had allegedly been using narcotics in the evening and was acting irrationally. Due to a possibility that the suspect was armed, officers called out to him and he came out of a rear bedroom, police said.
Officers used verbal commands and eventually detained the man.

Three handguns were found in the home — one in the bedroom from where the suspect had emerged. All of the firearms were unlocked and accessible to both children, according to police.
One of the guns had been reported stolen during an August 2019 residential burglary in Rohnert Park.
The other two firearms were not registered. The woman told police that her husband did not use any of the guns towards her or the children.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, child endangerment and criminal storage of a firearm.
