The Tenshi comes in two variations that are the same in every way other than the handle scale material. Available in either brown Micarta or brass, you have the option between flat-out function or stylish function. But make no mistake, both will perform equally as well. However, the brass will take a nice patina over time, only adding to the classic approach.
Departing from a more standard flow, with an overall downward curvature, the Tenshi has an upward sweep, like the lines of a katana or wakizashi. The upturned blade coupled with the incredibly thin .07-inch stock makes for a keen slicer. Additionally, the reverse tanto profile not only adds to the aesthetics but also provides a robust tip for penetration. As a result, the Tenshi not only excels at typical utility chores but is perfect for self-defense.
With a 2.68-inch blade, the Tenshi is legal in almost all jurisdictions—with even the strictest knife laws. However, make sure you know the laws in your area before carrying any knife. The VG-10 stainless steel blade material allows for a very fine, sharp edge and provides cutlery grade rust/stain/corrosion resistance. A Japanese steel, it is a high-end steel, with the “G” denoting gold, for its high—or gold—standard.
The Tenshi is brought to its full 6.10-inch overall length via a right-side thumb stud. When actuated, the blade rides on a ball bearing pivot, coming to full lockup via a liner lock. The small folder stays concealed in the pocket via a deep carry pocket clip. However, it is set up for right-hand tip-up carry only and is not reversible.
