SAN MATEO – An investigation is underway into a shooting Monday night in San Mateo, police said.
Officers were called to the 2600 block of Flores Street just after 8 p.m. for a report of shots fired and a collision, the San Mateo Police Department said in a news release.
At the scene, officers found a 27-year-old man, who told them someone had shot at him.
Police said an investigation revealed the shooting was not a random act.
“SMPD is working vigorously to bring all responsible individuals to justice,” police said.
