SAN CARLOS – A 22-year-old Kent, Ohio, man has been arrested on suspicion of extorting and manipulating children to send nude photographs and videos over the internet, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was arrested Tuesday following a “lengthy investigation” by the sheriff’s office, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Kent Police Department, said Lt. Jacob Trickett in a news release.

Trickett said the man was charged with Ohio state violations of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person.

A search of the man’s residence turned up “sexually exploitative photographs and videos” of victims ranging from 5 to 15 years old, from California to the United Kingdom, Trickett said.
