Luka Doncic was out for the Dallas Mavericks103-84 road victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday and will be out for Monday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets as well as he deals with a sore left ankle.

“He continues to get treatment, and we’ll see how he feels for Wednesday’s game,” coach Jason Kidd said before Sunday’s game. The Mavericks host the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.

Doncic sprained his left ankle on Nov. 15, missed the next three games and has dealt with persistent soreness since. He turned the ankle again during Friday’s road loss to the Indiana Pacers and said afterward that he probably shouldn’t have finished the game.

He also sat out a Dec. 4 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies with left ankle soreness.

In beating the Thunder, the Mavs (13-13) won their first game without Doncic this season. They were previously 0-4 in such contests.
