A Mount Diablo Unified School District employee was arrested Thursday night on suspicion of attempted enticement of a minor online, the district announced in a letter to parents Friday.
The employee, who worked at three campuses in the district, was arrested by a regional task force targeting Internet crimes against children, said MDUSD Superintendent Adam Clark, who did not identify the employee or say where the arrest took place.
Clark wrote, “There is no reason to believe that any current or former Mt. Diablo Unified student(s) are involved” in the case.
The superintendent said the district is cooperating in the law enforcement investigation and “additional information will be shared as appropriate.”
