Building from its popular REGULUS Alpha, Lionheart Industries took customer feedback to heart. The REGULUS Combat features a precision machined 7075 Aluminum frame, keeping it rugged yet lightweight. Promoting a solid purchase while firing, both the front and back strap include checkered texturing. Likewise, the G-10 grips include aggressive checkered texturing for no-slip handling. In addition, a three slot Picatinny rail sits just forward of the trigger guard for additional accessories or optics.
Riding atop the aluminum frame is a chromoly 4140 steel slide with forward and rear serrations for easy manipulation. Included with the REGULUS Combat are Novak Sights suppressor height sights. However, the rear of the slide includes a dovetail cut for compatibility with any Novak 1911 dovetail sight. Housed within the slide is the Tru-Axis barrel system, designed to lock up tight and provide increased accuracy. Also, the threaded barrel provides suppressor compatibility and comes with a thread cover.
A Double Action Plus trigger provides a smooth pull, controlled break and crisp, short reset. As a result, when set to DA+ mode, the light pull promotes first shot accuracy. Providing visual acknowledgement, green lines appear below the hammer when DA+ is activated. Chambered in 9mm, the REGULUS Combat comes with two 18 round double-stack magazines. However, you can select 10 round magazines if you live in a restricted magazine state.
