FREMONT — A motorcyclist died at the scene of a collision with a box-style truck Monday, authorities said.

Around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a collision involving a seriously injured motorcyclist on Boyce Road north of Stewart Avenue and south of Stevenson Boulevard, police said.

Police say the collision involved a large box-style truck, whose driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Paramedics who also responded pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. No identity was available, pending identification by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office coroner’s bureau.

Other officers responded, closing off the section of Boyce Road and diverting traffic from Stewart Avenue to Albrae Street for several hours.
