You can’t make this up. The Jussie Smollett trial continues in Chicago, and it looks like Jussie held a “dry run” of the alleged hate crime.
BlazeTV’s Chad Prather covered the story on his podcast on Wednesday and offered his thoughts on the new information. The lead investigator, Michael Theis, testified that the two brothers who were arrested for allegedly attacking Jussie Smollett participated in a “dry run.”
According to reports, “Chicago police the brothers said the ex- “Empire” actor orchestrated the hoax, telling them via text message to meet him “on the low,” paying for supplies and holding a “dry run” in downtown Chicago.”,
According to Theis, Smollet was unhappy with the way his the actor’s TV studio managed hate mail he had received, so he decided to stage the attack. Theis added that the brothers’ testimony about the actor having picked them up days before the attack for an in-person conversation about where he [Smollet] lived and what would happen was corroborated using GPS, cellphone records, and video evidence.
Police say they found no instance where they concluded the men were lying.
Chad Prather could not believe Smollet, “Actually got attacked twice.”
“Technically, he got his a** kicked twice,” Chad said. Watch the clip for Chad’s whole take on the story. Can’t watch? Download the podcast here.
