HERCULES — A 33-year-old man was injured in a shooting Thursday, and authorities were investigating a possible connection to two shooting victims.
In a statement, police said dispatchers received a report of a male shot in the 800 block of Willow Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the man who was awake and alert, but suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, outside a restaurant at Willow Shopping Grand Ave. Center. He was taken to a hospital and later listed in serious but stable condition.
According to preliminary information from investigators, witnesses told police the man was standing by a red Tesla parked outside a martial-arts studio when two men approached him and pushed him down. Moments later, several shots rang out, with an unoccupied vehicle struck several times and two nearby businesses struck at least once, but no other bystanders were injured.
After the shooting, the wounded man managed to run toward a nearby restaurant, while the two other men ran to a white vehicle driven by a third man, got in and rode away.
Fifteen minutes after the shooting, police learned that two 19-year-old men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds were dropped off by a white sedan at a Vallejo hospital. The men, who were later taken to another hospital, were listed in serious but stable condition.
Police said they have not determined if the men were involved in the shooting, and did not release any other information Thursday.
