I despise ice breaker questions. To me, they’re the kind of thing that some corporate goon came up with in order to find a way to appear to be a relatable human being amidst their employees. The thinking being that if everybody talks about their favorite movie they’d no longer just be coworkers, they’d become friends. Ice breakers are idiotic and I despise them. Or at least I used to. Then I was asked, “What’s your favorite meme?”
Ermahgerd! How could anybody choose just one?! Personally, if I was forced to choose at gunpoint, I’d probably have to side with woman yelling at cat. That one’s timeless and I can’t ever think of an instance where it wouldn’t make me giggle. But, on the other hand, it’s not always about the LOLs. Sometimes the world is burning down all around you and it doesn’t feel fine… or does it?
As silly as it may seem on the surface, memes are the way we communicate these days. We pass them back and forth with everyone in our lives. No matter the situation, there’s always a meme that compliments it perfectly.
The lifespan of a meme can be a couple of days, a couple of weeks or, like these tattoos, forever. I mean, I don’t know about you, but I’ll never look at Michael Jordan without thinking about the crying meme. And I’m saying this as somebody who considers themselves to be a Chicago Bulls fan.
The great philosopher Doge once said of this gallery of tattoos: “Wow. Such tattoos. Much goodness.”
