ATHERTON — Three hours before the final home regular-season game of his high school football career, Menlo-Atherton wide receiver Jalen Moss took to Instagram live to announce where he will play in college.
Moss, a three-star prospect who had 10 offers, according to 247Sports, chose Fresno State over Power 5 schools Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona State and Nebraska.
Moss became the latest offensive standout from a Bay Area high school over the past decade to choose Fresno State, joining Palo Alto receivers Davante Adams and KeeSean Johnson and running backs Jordan Mims of M-A and Ronnie Rivers of Freedom.
Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener starred at Monte Vista. He transferred to Fresno from Washington.
Moss entered Friday’s Senior Night game against Burlingame with 43 receptions for 861 yards and 11 touchdowns.
M-A has won six in a row and is in a position to clinch its fourth consecutive Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division championship.
