RICHMOND — County prosecutors have charged a 59-year-old man with murder in an Oct. 9 shooting that police say was preceded by an argument, court records show.
Richmond resident Robert Harrell III was charged with murdering 59-year-old Eddie Burleson, also of Richmond. Burleson was shot once around 4 a.m. Oct. 9 on the 4100 block of Florida Avenue in Richmond, police said.
Harrell was arrested three days after the shooting at a residence on the 1900 block of Virginia Avenue, according to police.
Authorities haven’t publicly revealed how Harrell was identified as a suspect. They say the two argued shortly before the shooting. The charging records allege Harrell used a pistol to kill Burleson.
Harrell is in jail in lieu of $1 million bail. He faces 50 years to life in prison if convicted.
