FELTON — A falling tree killed a man driving alone on East Zayante Road on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver, whose identity was not released, was southbound in a Toyota Tacoma on East Zayante Road near Highland Avenue when he crashed before 1:20 p.m., according to CHP spokesperson Officer Alyssa Gutierrez.
Because of damage to a utility pole, East Zayante Road was closed to through traffic from Graham Hill Road to Highland Avenue. Pacific Gas & Electric Co. officials were estimating the closure would last until between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m., Gutierrez said. Source: www.mercurynews.com
