OAKLAND — A 27-year-old man was in grave condition after he was shot multiple times early Thursday morning at an East Oakland apartment complex, authorities said.

The shooting happened about 12:13 a.m. Thursday at the apartment in the 2000 block of 90th Avenue near Olive Street.

Police said the man, an Oakland resident, did not live there but was apparently visiting someone.

He apparently got into a confrontation of some kind with another person and was shot multiple times.

The suspect fled before police arrived.

No motive has been determined yet for the shooting and no arrests have been made.
