UNION CITY — A person was killed Friday evening on the 4200 block of Queen Anne Drive, just west of Alvarado Boulevard, according to police.
Just after 8:30 p.m. Friday, officers from the Union City Police Department arrived in the area after a report of a shooting and found a person with one gunshot wound, according to an announcement from the police department issued Saturday morning.
Police have not identified the victim or provided any details about the person.
Emergency personnel from the Alameda County Fire Department pronounced the victim dead at the scene Friday. Police detectives did not know the motive for the shooting as of Saturday, and no suspect was publicly identified.
