Well, Star Wars fans, we have some good news and bad news: The bad news is it seems we’ll have to wait some time before The Mandalorian’s (thankfully Gina Carano-less) third installment hits the small screen. The good news? It seems we will get some new Star Wars-related content before the year’s end to tide us over until Baby Yoda returns to the big screen – well, beyond watching Mark Hamill go viral after tweeting his own name or inexplicably defending the franchise’s prequels.
On Wednesday, Disney announced that The Mandalorian’s spin-off, The Book of Boba Fett, will arrive in a streaming service not-so-far, far away before the end of the year, landing on Disney+ on December 29.
With Temura Morrison reprising their run as the series titular bounty hunter and Ming-Na Wen appearing as assassin Fennec Shand, the series, according to Disney’s official description, centers around the duo as they traipse through “the Galaxy’s underworld” and ultimately “return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate,” per The Verge.
Yet as the publication noted, The Book of Boba Fett is not the only Star Wars series in the works – fans can also look forward to a spin-off about Ahsoka Tano and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
So, folks, may the force be with you – as you attempt not to binge the entire series in one night.
