The Richmond BART station closed early Thursday morning after a woman died on the tracks, the transit agency said.

“Police say there was no foul play and the person intentionally entered the track,” BART said in a tweet.

The closure was announced just before 6:20 a.m. There were 20 minute delay along the system.

AC Transit was providing help with bus 72M providing service between the Richmond and El Cerrito del Norte stations.

The closure came on a morning when BART said the system was experiencing 10-minute delays in the Transbay Tube, because of track maintenance.
