A Federal Way, WA, Police officer was shot at on Friday afternoon while stopped at a traffic light, according to police.
Around 3:15 p.m. Sept. 3, an officer was stopped at a traffic light on Pacific Highway South while driving a marked police SUV when a vehicle pulled up alongside the officer, according to Cmdr. Kurt Schwan of Federal Way Police.
A person from the vehicle then ambushed the officer and began shooting at him, Schwan said. Multiple rounds hit the officer’s vehicle, however the officer was not hit nor injured, the Federal Way Mirror reports.
The suspect is at large.
