The family of Daytona Beach, FL, police officer Jason Raynor who died August 17 after being shot in the head in June is suing the man accused of killing him.
Othal Wallace, the man who faces charges for shooting Raynor, is in custody without bond and has pleaded not guilty to the charge of attempted first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer, WESH reports.
The suit filed by the Raynor family against Wallace, claims wrongful death, assault and battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
They are seeking $5 million in damages.
